Après un master en archéologie à Paris IV Sorbonne portant sur des artefacts textiles mis au jour en Sibérie et en Mongolie, Isaline Saunier s’oriente vers un master d’anthropologie à l’EHESS, mention Asie Méridionale et Orientale. Son mémoire porte sur « Le costume comme marqueur identitaire mongol ».Depuis 2008, elle participe à des fouilles archéologiques en France, en Sibérie et en Mongolie.Elle est doctorante contractuelle EPHE et rattachée au GSRL depuis le 1er octobre 2017. Sa thèse, menée sous la direction d’Isabelle Charleux et Caroline Bodolec, s’intitule « Entre technique et culture, le vêtement et la construction de l’identité en Mongolie contemporaine ».After a master's degree in Archeology at Paris IV Sorbonne on textile artifacts excavated in Siberia and Mongolia, Isaline Saunier obtained a master of Anthropology at EHESS in the mention South and East Asia. Her Master thesis was about « The costume as a Mongolian identity marker ».Since 2008, she participated in archaeological excavations in France, Siberia and Mongolia.She is now a PhD contractual student at EPHE, and is attached to the GSRL since October 1st, 2017. Her PhD thesis, conducted under the direction of Isabelle Charleux and Caroline Bodolec, is entitled « Between technique and culture, clothing item and the construction of identity in contemporary Mongolia ».
