Günther Jikeli est titulaire de la chaire Erna B. Rosenfeld à l’Institut pour l’étude de l’antisémitisme contemporain dans le cadre du « Jewish Studies Program » à l’université de l’Indiana. Il est professeur associé en études germaniques et en études juives et dirige le laboratoire de recherche « Social Media & Hate ». Ce laboratoire se concentre sur l’analyse de l’antisémitisme sur les médias sociaux. Günther Jikeli a publié de nombreux ouvrages sur l’antisémitisme dans les médias sociaux, en France et en Allemagne, sur les perceptions de l’Holocauste et sur le retour de l’antisémitisme religieux, y compris l’antisémitisme musulman.
