En voici un bref résumé : The Religious Landscape of Brazil · The article analyzes the main developments in Brazil’s religious landscape, which emerged from the census conducted in 2022 and were only made public in June 2025. These include: a significant increase in the number of people declaring their affiliation to the Afro-religious camp; a significant increase in the number of people with no religion; a modest increase in evangelicals and a relative decline in the number of Catholics. These findings stimulate analytical reflections, particularly on two questions: a) whether the decline of Catholicism and the rise of evangelicalism will lead to the formation of an evangelical majority in Brazil in the coming decades; and b) whether religious diversity persists in Brazil or religious pluralism is strengthening.
