Nadezhda Mamontova (Newton International Fellow, School of Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences, University of Birmingham) effectuera une présentation intitulée :
"The Multiple Voices of Geological Ontologies amongst the Evenki"
Abstract : The recent introduction of geological anthropology has questioned and further problematised our conventional understanding of geos-bios relationships by challenging the boundaries separating life from non-life. In particular, research has shifted its focus towards examining how these categories are produced and discussed in different societies. This presentation aims to discuss the ontological properties of various ‘minerals’ and ‘rocks’ in Evenki cosmology as related to contested and reciprocal relationships between humans and non-human forces. It further explores the relationships between state geology and indigenous people, investigating how geological institutions extracted and explored indigenous knowledge during Soviet Russia’s era. Furthermore, it examines how contemporary communities negotiate their role in the development of official geological knowledge.Nous espérons vous retrouver nombreux!
